TIME is MONEY!

Imagine there is a bank account
that credits your account each morning with
$86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance
you failed to used during the day.

What would you do?
You would draw out every cent!

Each of us has such a bank,
its name is
TIME.

Every morning, it credits you 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off whatever you failed to invest in a good purpose.
It carries over no balance.

Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.
You must live in the present on today's deposits.

Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and wealth.
The clock is running.

Make the most of the time,
because you can never get it back.

Persistence is the Master Key to success

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not -  nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not - unrewarded genius
is almost a proverb.

Education will not -
the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination are omnipotent.

Don't be afraid of PROBLEMS

Problems in studies, family, health, school, career, money, relationships and many more areas will pop up in your every day life. The longer you live, the more obstacles you must overcome. Learning to handle life's problems effectively is an important life skill.

Your attitude towards problems is the most essential thing in overcoming problems. Think over the following facts to fine tune your attitude towards your problems.

1.Every living human being has problems.

Everyone has challenges to overcome everyday. Even people who seem to be most successful, have their own problems in everyday life. Nobody has a perfect life. Some people just know how to deal with problems in a perfect way.

2.Every problem has a limited life span.

Everything has a beginning and an end. Every mountain has a peak and every valley has a low point. Every story has a beginning and an end. Storms are followed by sunshine. In the same way, problems don’t last forever. They get resolved sooner or later. When you face a problem, don’t keep dwelling on it. Cheer up! Remember the words of Robert Schuller "Tough times never last but tough people do!"

3.When you can not solve the problem, you can manage that problem.

Let’s face it. Sometimes reality stinks. The brutal truth is that some problems can’t be solved. They can only be managed. To do so, first be brutally honest in identifying the limitations. Second, find ways to improve the situation. Third, take actions with personal responsibility.

4. Problems are opportunities in disguise.

Every problem contains within it the seed of an opportunity. All lasting success in life is laced with problems and misfortunes. Winners turn stumbling blocks into steppingstones. Gain a new perspective by looking at the problem from different angles. Can the rules be changed? Reframe the problem as a positive question.

5. Learn from the problems.

In dealing with the problems, we all make mistakes, but we don’t need to make the same ones over and over. Write down the lessons you’ve learned, and then try not to repeat them.

6. Be creative in solving problems.

Each time you encounter a problem, avoid worrying about it and instead think about how you can best deal with it. Value your ability to be creative. Your job is to find the best choice for you among the solutions that exist. Think about the solutions and work on the best solution. Sooner or later the problem will either get resolved or become irrelevant.

Successful people believe that there is a solution for every problem. They visualise a solution and work for it. From this minute, make yourself cheerful enough to welcome problems.

SUCCESS FROM DEVASTATING FAILURES

J.K Rowling is the first billionaire writer of the world. She became richer than the Queen of England just by writing novels. It didn’t happen overnight.

She is a classic example for rags to riches success story. Penniless, recently divorced, raising a child on her own and suffering from depressions, she had to face countless challenges.

Twelve publishing houses rejected her original Harry Potter manuscripts. A small publisher Bloomsbury finally gave her a chance with a small advance. The publisher warned that there was no money in children’s books and hence she should get a day job for her livelihood.

Nobody could predict that it would become the bestselling book series in history. J.K. Rowling crossed net worth of more than 1 billion U.S Dollars in 2014.

What if she stopped at the first or next rejection? What if she gave up by the devastating failures?

J.K Rowling succeeded because she applied the perseverance principle aptly described by Winston Churchill: “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm."

When J.K Rowling spoke to the graduating class of Harvard, she didn’t talk about success. She talked about failures, her own in particular:

“I had failed on an epic scale. An exceptionally short-lived marriage had imploded, and I was jobless, a lone parent, and as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless."

"You might never fail on the scale I did. But it is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all—in which case, you fail by default.”

Enthusiasm is the spark in your eye!

You can do anything

if you have enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm is the spark in your eye,

the swing in your gait,

the grip of your hand,

the irresistible surge of your will,

and your energy to execute your ideas.

Enthusiasm is at the bottom of all progress.

With it, there is accomplishment.

Without it, there are only alibis."

BARBER WHO OWNS A ROLLS ROYCE!

Bangalore resident Ramesh Babu runs the business of cutting and styling hair. He is a billionaire and owns a rent-a-car fleet of 67 alternative cars.

IN HIS SALON

At the Inner Space salon, near Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru, you will spot businessman G. Ramesh Babu talking to his clients and giving them new hairstyles. And this, he does everyday, even though he runs a successful business of renting out luxury cars.

TAXI BUSINESS

Ramesh started his taxi business in 2004 with a Maruti Omni van and today he owns 256 luxury cars, which includes a Rolls Royce, six BMWs, nine Mercedes, a Jaguar, three Audis and many more.

Amazingly, Ramesh charges Rs 75000 a day for the Rolls and his usual clients are corporate bigwigs and visiting Bollywood and Tollywood stars.

“I started with renting out my cars to Intel and to other small clients locally. As it was going well, I took a brave step and bought my first E class Mercedes. This was because at that time there was no taxi rental service which rented out luxury cars, even for big delegates,” he says.

NO STOPPING

Since then, there has been no stopping Ramesh. From B-town stars to politicians, everyone has travelled in his cars. “I have had plenty of clients and thus, my cars have been used by many big names. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Amitabh Bachchan to SRK, mostly everyone has been driven around in my cars.”

Ramesh, a +2 dropout, who later finished a diploma in Electronics from Industrial Training Institute, has been a humble man. Ramesh still goes to his barber shop every day as he doesn’t want to lose touch with his roots.

BE A FIRE FIGHTER!

Dear friends,

There are basically two types of students:

Reactive Student
This type of student carries out a job fully or partly as told by the teacher or leader. Though they have plenty of time, they wait for instructions.

Proactive Student
This type of student is a problem solver. They think ahead, anticipating the next step in their studies and life. If there’s an issue, they find a solution.

In general, the proactive students use to score higher marks than the reactive students. In their future career too, the proactive persons find their positions in the top categories.

Dr. Stephen R. Covey in his excellent book ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ describes ‘Be proactive’ as the No.1 Habit to achieve success.

Being proactive is not a rocket science. It is something that can be learnt by anybody. Here are some tips which will make you a proactive person.

1. Remember the Big Picture
To be proactive, you have to keep the big picture in your mind. Think about the big goal to be reached in your future career and write it down with specific time limit. There may be roadblocks. But you can win.

2. Befriend Proactive People
Being surrounded by proactive people helps you in many ways. They will make you aware of all opportunities and help you handle any problem.

3. Be a Firefighter
A firefighter’s job is to put out a fire as quickly as possible. We have to think ahead before problems flare up. We should be prepared to jump to solve problems.

Being proactive is about taking responsibility for your life. You can't keep blaming everything on your parents or grandparents. Proactive people recognize that they are "response-able."

Your life doesn't just "happen." Whether you know it or not, it is being designed by you. The choices, after all, are yours. Start designing the most amazing life for yourself.
